after Sept. 11th 2001, my  work changed..... for weeks, without realizing it, I had been finishing all my pieces in black. The winged gold ball took on a dramatic change and actual was completed as " Can't Get Away From The Weight of the World" then it seemed to be time to finish the piece above.  I had found my way back to color after that......" Can't Get Away From The Weight of the World" was sold at the SOFA/ NY show the following spring, which I feel good about.... it truly belongs in NYC

Many of the components of my work have infused and transformed toward a more sculptural approach as in "Longing for Potter's Field" , "Identity Crisis", and " Can't Get Away From The Weight of the World"

"Longing for Potter's Field" was started after reading Harry Potter with our sons..... in the story there is a golden snitch which is a flying ball used in the game of Quiditch. This is what I imagined it to be, I was working on this piece in Aug, and  Sept. 2001.
